Welcome, I’m Sarya. I’m a warm and affirming therapist who works with older adolescents, young adults, and adults. I support people navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, body image, sexuality, identity, culture, self-esteem and shame. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and I provide therapy in both English and Arabic.
My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and grounded in the relationship we build together. I may bring in mindfulness, reflection, practical coping tools, body awareness, and intuitive insight depending on what feels supportive for you.
As an Arab therapist with a Middle Eastern background, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to our work, no matter your background. I know that culture, religion, and family expectations can shape what some people feel allowed to express. I also know that each person’s relationship to their culture is different. In our work together, there is room to explore what you want to keep, what you want to question, and what you want to grow beyond.
I hold a particular interest in supporting clients with ADHD, LGBTQ+ clients, fat clients, and those exploring kink. If spirituality is part of your healing, we can make room for that too — whether through intuition, rituals, Ayurveda, goddess archetypes, and Buddhist- and Islamic-inspired meaning-making.
