Rachel Buzenberg

Therapy is a beautiful journey of healing and awakening, and I hope to hold space and walk that path hand in hand with you. As a therapist, I will give you room to access your own wisdom, allow you to be authentic in who you are, recognize that you are the expert in your own life and collaborate with you on how to make the hard stuff easier to sit with. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship with unconditional positive regard.

I have experience working with children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric facility as well as in ABA settings. I have helped clients to address anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, oppositional defiant disorder, relational conflict, trauma, and self-esteem issues. I am passionate about working with the emerging adult and adolescent population as it is a transformative time of growth. I want to be able to journey with you through major life transitions using trauma-informed care where needed.

I approach therapy from a person-centered and psychodynamic framework to help clients grow and achieve their treatment goals. I am an integrative therapist drawing from holistic, behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, attachment theories, mindfulness and strength-based techniques. I am also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, so I will always have a fun and creative approach to therapy.
